•  Jay Shah became involved in his family’s PVC pipe business shortly after finishing his education at Nirmala University in Ahmedabad around 2003.

• In 2004, motivated by his father’s history as a stockbroker and shift into politics, he founded a trading business named Temple Enterprises Pvt Ltd.

• Jay entered the realm of cricket administration in 2009 when he was appointed as an executive member of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCI). Four years later, he was elected joint secretary of GCI.

• A significant accomplishment during his tenure as GCA Joint Secretary was managing the development of Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest cricket stadium globally. Furthermore, he is set to inaugurate the GCA Indoor Academy.

• In 2015, he joined the BCCI administration and was assigned to the finance and marketing committees within the board.

• Shah secured a 60% ownership interest in Kusum Finserve, a company focused on stock trading and marketing consulting, in 2015.

• In October 2016, Temple Enterprises Pvt Ltd, Shah’s trading venture, halted its operations.

• He stepped down as the GCI joint secretary in September 2019 and was afterward designated as secretary of BCCI a month later. He became the youngest person to ever occupy the position of BCCI secretary.

• In December 2019, the BCCI appointed him to serve as their representative at the CEC meetings organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

• Jay Shah, the youngest person to take on the role, was named president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in January 2021. The ACC is an organization dedicated to promoting and developing cricket in the Asian region.
